Malcolm grew up in a forestry family on the west coast of Vancouver Island. After a few years dabbling with university and the metal trades, he got a short four-day job in the woods and caught the forestry bug.
Working for a small engineering contractor for several years, He bounced all over the Central Coast and Vancouver Island working under different ecosystem-based management regimes such as the Great Bear Rainforest Order and Clayoquot Sound Scientific Panel Recommendations.
Malcolm started with A&A in the summer of 2017, returning in the summer of 2018 to work out of A&A’s Haida Gwaii office.
