A&A Trading is a family business established over 40 years ago. We have grown from a small log brokerage firm into a significant sized forest management and log marketing company. We operate on Vancouver Island, the Mainland Coast, and Haida Gwaii on our own licenses as well as on behalf of our communities and Indigenous partners.

THE ROLE
Operations Engineers at A&A are responsible for the long-term planning and development of tenures as well as active involvement in the operational supervision of the associated logging and road building activities.
Based out of either our Campbell River or Vancouver office, the Operations Engineer interacts with the whole A&A team from planning and engineering to sales, as well as with our partners, government agencies, First Nations, public, customers, and service providers throughout the planning and development process.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Leadership capabilities in safety, environment, quality, and production
- Knowledge of coastal logging equipment, timber values, and operational costs and logistics
- Extensive experience in coastal operational planning and development
- Forestry Professional in good standing with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC)
- A solid knowledge base of applicable BC forest legislation and policies
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, innovative and entrepreneurial
- Comfortable working in a team-based, results-oriented, fast-paced environment
