Cooper started his career in forestry right out of high school as an assistant forestry engineer in Haida Gwaii. After his first summer he enrolled in the Forest Resource Technology program at Vancouver Island University. Once he received his diploma, Cooper started a full-time engineering position. In 2019, Cooper received his Coastal Log Scaling license and began scaling in Howe Sound and in multiple dryland sorts along the Fraser River.
In 2021, Cooper was brought on to the Log Supply Team as a Quality Control coordinator. Cooper actively works to create project specific grading and sorting strategies as well as communicate these strategies throughout the various operational phases. He is passionate about his work and brings a positive demeanor to the workplace.
