Jacob joined A&A Trading in 2025 as a Logging Engineer at the Campbell River office, bringing over four years of forestry engineering experience in British Columbia. He is currently a Forester in Training (FIT) working toward his Registered Professional Forester (RPF) designation.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick. During his studies, he completed two wildfire seasons with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. Before, during, and after his degree, he also gained more than five years of experience as a residential arborist in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Alberta.
He began his professional forestry career in northern British Columbia, working throughout the Burns Lake and Terrace regions. In 2023, Jacob transitioned to coastal forestry and has since worked across mid to northern Vancouver Island, as well as along the central and northern BC coast.

Jacob’s responsibilities include cut block and road layout, road design, stream and windthrow assessments, and involvement in shift planning, contractor management, mapping, and appraisals. He is passionate about renewable forest management, community engagement, and innovation within British Columbia’s forestry sector.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing.
