Sebastien was born and raised in Northern Ontario and is a 4th generation forestry worker. His family moved to British Columbia in the mid ’90s.
Sebastien graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Forestry Diploma in 2000 and has been working in the coastal forest industry for over 22 years. Soon after receiving his Registered Forest Technologist designation in 2003, he enrolled in the Forestry Pupil program and achieved his Registered Professional Forester designation in 2012.
Most of his work experience has been on Vancouver Island but has also had the fortunate experience to practice in Colombia for a year. His experience ranges from planning to operations. The experience he is most proud of is the collaborative work with Indigenous communities where he was working in the Territory. In his current role, Sebastien is an Operations Manager where he works with a team of professionals to manage various forest tenure licenses for A&A and with our Indigenous Partnerships.
He currently volunteers with the Campbell River Forestry Education Association as a Director and the Treasurer. Sebastien is a strong advocate for improving how the industry can work in a more meaningful way with First Nations. The thing Sebastien enjoys most is spending time with his family. His favourite activity outside of work is camping with them.
