Yellow Cedar

This is one of the world’s most durable woods with exceptional longevity. It is used for shingles, poles, marine pilings, boat building and exterior doors. Structural grades are commonly used for exterior applications such as bridges, decking, stairs and landscaping.

It is also used in specialty projects such as temples, shrines, carving, wood working, cabinet work, decorative panels and furniture. Kiln drying inhibits natural staining, improves strength and stiffness, enhances its appearance and increases its resistance to decay and attack by insects.
