A&A Trading is a family business established over 40 years ago. We have grown from a small log brokerage firm into a significant sized forest management and log marketing company. THE ROLE
The Operations Group at A&A is responsible for overseeing and being accountable for the long-term planning and development of tenures, as well as being actively involved in the operational supervision of the associated logging and road building activities.
Working out of our Campbell River or Vancouver office, this position will interact with all aspects of the A&A team from planning and engineering to log sales as well as with our partners, government agencies, First Nations, general public, customers, and service providers throughout the planning and development process.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Leadership capabilities in safety, environment, quality, and production
- Basic knowledge of coastal logging equipment, timber values, operational costs and logistics
- Experience in coastal operational planning and development
- Registered with FPBC as an RPF or an RFT (or eligible)
- A solid knowledge base of applicable BC forest legislation and policies
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with common industry systems and tools
- Self-motivated, adaptable, innovative and entrepreneurial
- Comfortable working in a team-based, results-oriented, fast-paced environment
